Tigers three down chasing 335

Shakib Al Hasan's 18th five-wicket haul to bundle out West Indies for just 129 runs in their second innings on the third day of the second Test at Sabina Park yesterday gave hope for Bangladesh in what has been a forgettable tour of the Caribbean so far.

But the joy was short-lived as the Tigers yet again crumbled with the bat and were on the verge of a massive defeat as they went for tea struggling on 52 for 3.

Mominul haque was dismissed at the stroke of tea being trapped leg before to off-spinner Roston Chase for 15, with skipper Shakib Al Hasan batting on three.

Tamim Iqbal was out for a duck and once again it was his foot movement which caused his downfall while Liton Das, who did all the hard work until losing his concentration on 33, was caught at gully off the bowling of Keemo Paul.

Earlier Shakib had led the fightback with the ball in the morning session. The left-arm spinner accounted for the first four Windies wickets to fall, eventually finishing with figures of 6 for 33 from his 17 overs. Mehedi Hasan Miraz took two wickets.
