Shadman’s 144 hands Shinepukur fifth win

Shinepukur Cricket Club kept their second position standing on the Dhaka Premier League standings with their fifth win following Shadman Islam's unbeaten 144 against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi at the Sher-e Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Chasing a target of 263 for victory, Shinepukur reached home with eight wickets to spare as Shadman struck a 147-ball 144, with nine fours and two sixes while Towhid Hridoy contributed with a 56-ball 50. Earlier, Sheikh Jamal were bowled out for 262 as Mohammad Hasanuzzaman struck 61 at the top of the innings while Ziaur Rahman top-scored with 79.

Kalabagan vs Brothes Union

Bothers Union handed  Kalabagan Krira chakra a 131-defeat at another match, played at Fatullah.

Batting first, Kalabagan posted a huge 317 runs on the board following Junaid Siddique's 111-ball 123. Junaid and Myshukur Rahman got Brothers off to a brilliant start as they coasted to a 205-run partnership for the second wicket. Myshukur, who hit a 121-ball 96 missed out on a ton when he fell in the 43rd over to Muktar Ali.

In reply, Kalabagan were bowled out for 186 in 45 overs as Sohrawardi Shuvo bagged three wickets for 39 runs in nine overs.

Khelaghar vs Rupganj

Legends of Rupganj defeated Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity by six wickets in a match played at BKSP, Savar.

Batting first, Khelaghar posted 259 for the loss of four wickets following Robiul Islam's 138-ball 116. He was ably supported by Mahidul Islam, who struck 80 as the pair were involved in a 182-run second-wicket partnership. However, Khelaghar could not quite capitalize on the launchpad provided by those two as they were restricted to 259.

Mohammad Naim and Naeem Islam then contributed with a 144-run partnership for the third wicket in Rupaganj's chase of 260. Naim struck a 96-ball 82 while captain Naeem Islam played a handy innings of 64-ball 70 as Rupganj overhauled Khelaghar's total with six wickets and 21 balls to spare.
