Sabbir says his account was hacked

Bangladesh batsman Sabbir Rahman said that his Facebook account had been hacked and used to threaten a fan after screenshots of messages between Sabbir's account and a user's emerged.

This controversy came into discussion when the screenshots emerged, showing the abusive language used and threats issued towards a fan. The account, bearing the name 'Shabbir Rahaman Roman', was attributed to the national team cricketer by various members of the media who had conversed with him through it in the past.

"It is being brought to everyone's notice that my FB account has been hacked. Because of this, I have not been at the root of some unnatural events that surrounded me. For some reason, I am sorry for this to my fans,"  the 26-year-old posted on his Facebook account.

"The more I respect the love of my fans, the more I realize that I will be criticized for my bad performance. I am really working on my game. Keep me in your prayers and I will try as much as possible. i am adding more...Today, we have won a series of great lands in foreign soil. We are proud to give you a hope. please pray for us so that we can give you a series of winning this way. Alhamdulillah," he concluded.
