Bangladesh Tigers’ three-day practice game at Chittagong's Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium has been suspended due to rain, our Chittagong correspondent reports.

Play could not be resumed today due to the heavy downpour early morning and the Tigers were seen playing a friendly game of football in the rain.

Earlier yesterday, Mominul Haque and Nasir Hossain played handy knocks for the Tamim Iqbal captained Bangladesh Green team.

Bangladesh player Sabbir Rahman talked to reporters today and said they have achieved 70 percent of their expectation from the practice match.

“We had the idea that the batsmen would bat and the bowlers will bowl in the practice match and I think we have achieved 70 percent of our expectation,” said Sabbir Rahman

“So for today we didn’t have much left – due to the rain.

“We have played two days and rested for one…so we have already played in the conditions where we needed to play," said the right-handed batsman.
