Bangladesh paceman Rubel Hossain asks the Tigers' fans for forgiveness on facebook after the cricketer was on the receiving end of a Dinesh Karthik storm that took the game away from the Tigers.

As Rubel had come to bowl the 19th over, Tigers were in a slightly advantageous position with India needing 34 runs from 12 balls. At that point it made sense to bring in your most successful bowler in the match and Rubel was just the man as the paceman had taken two wickets and conceded just 13 runs in his first three overs. However, bowling his last over, Rubel was taken apart as he conceded two sixes and a four in his first three balls. He ended up conceding 22 off that 19th over which turned the game in India's favour. The shots were not easy and Rubel must have felt hard done by as India needed just 12 off the last over. Eventually, Dinesh Kartik hit a six off the last ball of the innings, bowled by Soumya Sarkar, to clinch the game for India .

Rubel apologized to Tigers' fans on facebook and said: "I have been feeling really bad ever since the match ended. To tell the truth, I never imagined that Bangladesh team will get knocked out like this after being so close to victory because of me. I apologize to everyone. Please forgive me everyone."
