Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan announced today that the BCB do not agree with the conditions being asked to be met by SLC. During the press briefing, the BCB president said that they are going to bring domestic cricket – halted since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic -- back onto the field with the Sri Lanka tour looking doubtful.

The Dhaka Premier League was paused after the first round when the coronavirus situation first began to escalate. The BCB had said before that they would like to resume the Dhaka Premier League and with the Sri Lanka tour in doubt right now, the board would look to start domestic cricket 'very soon'.

"We're going to bring back cricket. We don't know if it will be another country but we will bring back domestic cricket. We haven't decided what we will do yet.

"It will happen very soon. The players have been out of cricket for a long time and although we will not be able to manage all the clubs, but we will take onboard the ones we can manage. Maybe 40 players or 60 but we will take as much as we can manage. We have to ensure the players' safety during the pandemic," he said.
