Following the premature termination of contract with Telecommunications company Robi Axiata Ltd, Bangladesh Cricket Board has formed a new partnership today with prominent consumer goods company Unilever Bangladesh Limited till January 2020.

The deal will officially begin with the Asia Cup in Dubai, scheduled to begin on September 15. The Tigers will don the national kit with the logo of Unilever's product Lifebuoy.

The sponsorship agreement was signed today (Thursday, 06 September 2018) by BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury and Unilever Bangladesh's Finance Director Zahidul Islam Malita at the BCB Management Office at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka.

The BCB CEO welcomed Unilever's association with Bangladesh cricket: "Unilever is an internationally renowned brand with a proven track record. On behalf of the BCB I thank Unilever Bangladesh for coming forward and taking the initiative to contribute to cricket. This ushers a fresh promise and opens a new door of long-term cooperation and relationship."
