Bangladesh women's cricket team lost against England by seven wickets in a rain-affected fixture of the Women's World T20 in St. Lucia on Monday.

Being asked to bat first, Bangladesh scored 77 for the loss of nine wickets, with opener Ayasha Rahman top-scoring with 39 runs. She smashed two fours and three sixes in her 52-ball knock.

However, she got little support from the rest of the batters as the second highest score (15) of the innings came from the bat of Jahanara Alam.

England, in reply, lost two early wickets to Bangladesh skipper Salma Khatun, but raced to the revised target of 54 in 9.3 overs with seven wickets in hand.

Bangladesh had lost their opening match of the tournament by 60 runs against hosts West Indies.
