Deepak Chahar recorded the best ever T20I bowling figures of six wickets for seven runs, which included a hattrick that saw the hosts win the third T20I and the series against Bangladesh in Nagpur today. It eclipsed Sri Lanka spinner Ajantha Mendis's six for eight against Zimbabwe in September 2012. The win gives India the series by a 2-1 margin after the hosts had lost the first match in Delhi by seven wickets.

It was an epic collapse from Bangladesh, who were looking good on 110 for two in the 13th over of their chase of India's 174 for five. After Chahar had dismissed opener Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar in successive balls in the third over, Mohammad Naim and Mohammad Mithun put on 98 runs in just 10 overs. Chahar dismissed Mithun in the 13th over for 27 and Mushfiqur Rahim departed in the next over for a golden duck. The real blow, however was when Shivam Dube bowled Naim, who was singlehandedly leading Bangladesh's charge with a 48-ball 81.

The Tigers lost their last eight wickets for just 34 runs in 6.2 overs.

19.2 - Ban 144 all out - And it is a hattrick to tie the perfect bow on a magical bowling performance. Chahar picks up his sixth with a yorker that bowls tail-ender Al-Amin Hossain for the innings' fourth golden duck. No real celebration from Chahar but his teammates are cockahoop as India clinch the series with an emphatic win. Al-Amin Hossain b Chahar 0 (1b)

19.1 - Ban 144/9 - Mustafizur Rahman becomes Deepak Chahar's fifth victim in an awesome bowling display. The left-hander hit the right-arm pacer straight to deep point to become the ninth Bangladesh batsman to walk back. Mustafizur c Iyer b Chahar 1 (3b)

17.6 - Ban 135/8 - Deepak Chahar gets his fourth and ends his third over with magical figures of four for seven. Shafiul Islam tries to hit this one out of the park but only succeeded in hitting straight to long on. Shafiul c Rahul b Chahar 4 (6b)

16.5 - Ban 130/7 - Yuzvendra Chahal hammers perhaps the last nail into Bangladesh's coffin as he bowls skipper Mahmudullah Riyad, who was beaten by a google in an attempt to come down the wicket and get a much-needed boundary. Mahmudullah b Chahal 8 (10b)

15.4 - Ban 126/6 - Bangladesh lose two in two for the third time this match and there is a third golden duck of the innings for Afif Hossain, who is surprised by the pace and gets a leading edge, which Shivam Dube gratefully catches. Afif c&b Dube 0 (1b)

15.3 - Ban 126/5 - And this may be the decisive blow as Shivam Dube bowls Mohammad Naim for a powerful 81. The left-armer backs away but cannot get bat on an off-stump yorker and is bowled. Naim b Dube 81 (48b, 10x4, 2x6)

13.1 - Ban 110/4 - Bowled! India are firmly back in the game as Mushfiqur Rahim goes for the innings' second golden duck, edging Shivam Dube onto his stumps in the first ball he faced. Mushfiqur b Dube 0 (1b)

12.6 - Ban 110/3 - Mohammad Mithun goes for a six over extra cover, but does not connect well and is caught at long off, ending a potentially match-turning 98-run third-wicket stand. Mithun c Rahul b Chahar 27 (29nb, 2x4, 1x6)

End of over 12, Bangladesh 106 for two. The last two overs have brought Bangladesh 32 runs and 22 off those have come from Naim. He hit a six and two fours off Shivam Dube in the 11th over and a four and a six to end the following over from Yuzvendra Chahal.

10.5 - Ban 87/2 - Naim sweeps Washington Sundar to the fine leg boundary, bringing up his maiden T20I half-century in his third match and keeping Bangladesh on level terms with India. He reached his 50 off just 34 deliveries.

8.6 - Ban 62/2 - Mohammad Naim takes a single to bring up the fifty-run third-wicket stand with Mohammad Mithun. Naim has moved on to 42 off 29 balls. Those fifty runs have come in exactly five overs.

End of over 6, Bangladesh 32 for two. The Tigers end the Powerplay far behind where they would have wanted to be. Mohammad Naim and Mohammad Mithun have had to play watchfull because of Chahar's double strike.

2.5 - Ban 12-2 - Chahar gets two in two as Soumya departs for a golden duck. The left-hander hit his first deliver in the air, trying to clear mid off but a mishit carries limply Dube. Bangladesh in early trouble. Soumya c Dube b Chahar 0 (1b).

2.4 - Ban 12-1 - Liton connects well, but hits it straight to Washington Sundar in deep midwicket. Liton c Sundar b Chahar 9 (8b, 3x4)

Fifties from KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer took India to 174 for five in the series-deciding third T20I against Bangladesh in Nagpur. On a pitch where the ball stops on the odd occasion, it is an above-par total.

18.4 - Ind 159/5 - Dropped! Not Aminul's day as he drops another. Shivam Dube slogs Al-Amin Hossain towards deep midwicket, and Aminul drops a relatively simple chance after having dropped Shreyas Iyer early.

16.5 - Ind 144/5 -Bangladesh strike back with a double-wicket over, and more importantly, one of those wickets is Shreyas Iyer, who holes out to long off off another Soumya slower. Iyer c Liton b Soumya 62 (33b. 3x4, 5x6)

16.1- Ind 139/3 - Rishabh Pant plays all around a slower ball from Soumya Sarkar and is bowled. Pant b Soumya 6 (9b)

End of over 15, India 139 for three. Shreyas Iyer plunders 19 runs in the 15th over from Afif Hossain and gives India the perfect platform for a 150-plus total. He hit Afif for three big straight sixes in consecutive deliveries, and then a single took him to his maiden T20I fifty in 27 balls.

12.1 - India 94/3 - Wicket! Al-Amin Hossain returns to the attack and deals the crucial blow. KL Rahul had reached his fifty in the previous over, but was deceived by a slower leg-cutter from the right-arm paceman and holes out to long off. KL Rahul c Liton b Al-Amin 54 (35b, 7x4)

End of 10 overs, India are 71 for 2 with KL Rahul going strong, unbeaten on 41 from 27 deliveries. He has been the aggressor and picked up two boundaries in the 10th over as India are going strong after losing two early wickets.

5.5 - Ind 36/2 - Dropped! Iyer looks to play it square on the off side but takes one hand off the bat while playng the shot. Ball flies to point but young Aminul Islam has dropped it.

5.2 - Ind 35/2: Shafiul strikes again and this time he has got the other opener Shikhar Dhawan's scalp. Big wicket and Dhawan was looking to go over the  top on quite a few occasions but this time does not time the delivery properly. Mahmudullah Riyad runs in from midw-wicket and signals that he will take the catch. Takes it comfortably at deep midwicket. Dhawan c Mahmudullah b Shafiul Islam 19 (16b 4x4 0x6) SR: 118.75

1.3 - Ind 3/1: Rohit Sharma tries to flick Shafiul Islam towards the onside but delivery was just not there for that shot. Outside off and takes the inside edge and disturbs the woodwork. Shafiul removes dangerman Rohit first up in just the second over. Sharma b Shafiul Islam 2 (6b 0x4 0x6) SR: 33.33
