Shakib, Mash, Mushy alongside CR7 and Messi

Three of Bangladesh's top cricketers Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza have made it on to a definitive list of the world's top 100 most famous sports people compiled by global media company ESPN.

The Bangladesh cricketers among the world's top 100 most famous sportspeople are Shakib Al Hasan (90), Mushfiqur Rahim (92) and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (98). Read more on this in the story 'The Wellington warning'.

The top five is a mostly predictable list, headed by football megastar Cristiano Ronaldo, basketballer Lebron James, and the roundball code's Lionel Messi and Neymar. Controversial UFC headliner Conor McGregor rounds out the pointy end, helped by his high score on the searchability meter.

The list was made according to the fame profile of players based on 'Search Score', 'Endorsements', 'Social Following'. All three of Bangladesh's stars have a search score of 1 while the endorsements matrix for Shakib stands at $6.98 while Mushy and Mashrafe's are valued at $7.57.
