Bangladesh premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan became the first player to have scored more than 2500 runs and also to have picked 100 wickets at a single venue -- the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Playing in his 82nd match in Mirpur, Shakib achieved the feat when he struck West Indies medium-pacer Raymon Reifer for a boundary towards the backward point in the 22nd over during Bangladesh's second ODI against the Caribbean side today. Shakib, who scalped two wickets against the West Indies today, had already scalped a total of 119 wickets in Mirpur and is just second to Wasim Akram who leads the chart for most wickets in a single venue with 122 wickets in 77 matches at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

The premier all-rounder, who helped Bangladesh win the second ODI against West Indies by seven wickets and clinch the three-match ODI series 2-0 with an unbeaten 50-ball 43 today, has now scored a total of 2534 runs in Mirpur with two hundreds and 21 fifties. He is only second to fellow teammate Tamim Iqbal, who leads the chart of most runs in a single venue with 2713 runs in 80 matches, including five hundreds and 18 fifties in Mirpur.
