Sanjida’s 71 helps Tigresses post 130

Opener Sanjida Islam hit an unbeaten 71 off 60 deliveries to help Bangladesh post 130 for five against Thailand in the final match of the Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers against Thailand at Dundee yesterday.

Sanjida, who scored an unbeaten 32 in their semifinal against Ireland on Thursday, hit three sixes and six fours to register the highest T20 International score by a Bangladesh women's team player.

The right-hander laid the foundation with a 68-run opening partnership with Murshidha Khatun, who scored 33 off 34 deliveries. Both Bangladesh and Thailand had already sealed their qualification for Women's World T20 in 2020 following their semifinal victories over Ireland and Papua New Guinea respectively.
