Rain halts second 4-dayer

The second four-day match between the Bangladesh A team and their Afghan counterparts was halted due to rain at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram yesterday.

Having won the toss, the visitors sent Bangladesh to bat first. The hosts, however, could manage 18 for one in 7.4 overs before the match was interrupted and eventually called off for the day due to light showers in the port city.

Opener Imrul Kayes became the only batsman to fall on the day after scoring two off 13 deliveries. Batsmen Naim Sheikh and Rokibul Hasan remained unbeaten on six and 10 respectively.

Bangladesh A lost their first four-dayer against Afghanistan A by seven wickets last Monday at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.
