Nigar Sultana's unbeaten century helped Bangladesh Emerging side register an easy seven-wicket victory over the visiting South Africa Emerging team in their second of the five-match one-day series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today. The hosts, who won the first one-dayer by 54 runs, lead the series 2-0.

Bangladesh restricted South Africa to 196 for eight after the visitors elected to bat. A team-high of 118-ball 80 came from the bat of opener Andre Steyn while Anneke Bosch chipped in with a 58-ball 42 in the middle for the visitors.

For Bangladesh, Nahida Akter and Ritu Moni scalped three wickets each.

Despite losing both openers -- Shamima Sultana and Murshida Khatun -- inside eight overs for just 38 runs, an unbeaten 115-run fourth-wicket stand between Nigar and Rumana Ahmed saw the hosts cruise to victory in 45.3 overs. Nigar scored an unbeaten 135-ball 101, featuring 11 boundaries, while Rumana remained unbeaten on 45 off 69 deliveries.
