‘It does not really feel good to stay under strict restrictions’

Players around the globe have found life in a bio-secure bubble hard. Bangladesh batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto is also no different in that regard. The left-handed batsman said that he does not 'feel good' staying amid strict restrictions but also mentioned that he is now slowly adjusting to the situation.

What bothers Najmul the most is the frequent coronavirus tests conducted on players by the BCB -- a measure now a necessity to ensure players' safety and health issues.  

"It is actually very difficult. To give coronavirus tests every other day is uncomfortable. How they put swabs inside our nose and everything is really uncomfortable," said Najmul, who is one of the members of the 27-member preliminary squad currently involved in a camp ahead of the Tigers' potential three-Test tour of Sri Lanka, after today's practice session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. 

Najmul however realized that this is how players would now have to stay.   

"No one likes to be quarantined. It does not feel good to stay under such strict protocols. But I am adjusting to this slowly. And now we have to play and practice while staying in such an environment -- this is what I have set in my mind. And slowly I am starting to enjoy," said Najmul.
