Imran, Biplob foil Baptist Mission

Baptist Mission School orchestrated their own downfall yesterday, conceding 57 extras in a 63-run loss against Town High School in the Prime Bank Young Tigers National School Cricket Tournament at Barishal.

Electing to bat, opener Imran and Biplob strung together a 105-run second-wicket stand at the top for Town High but it was wayward bowling from Baptist Mission which helped them the most. Baptist Mission contributed 39 wides, two no balls, two leg-byes and 14 byes in their opposition's 230-run total.

Coming to bat, Baptist Mission were bundled out on 167 runs, of which 59 were extras, despite a 54-run knock from Al-Amin.

In the other two matches of the day, Mymensingh Laboratory High School won by 92 runs and B.B Government Boys School won by nine wickets against Progressive Model School and Mahmudul Hasan High School respectively.
