The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly was hopeful that Bangladesh will agree to play in the first-ever day-night Test between the two countries when Bangladesh tour India in November.

"I spoke to the BCB president (Nazmul Hassan). They are agreeable, they wanted to speak to the players. I am sure it will be a day/night Test. They will officially announce it soon. Hopefully we will get a confirmation tonight," Ganguly was quoted as saying by PTI on Monday.

The BCCI president expressed that he wanted Eden Gardens to host day-night Test on an annual basis. "I want the Eden (Day/Night) to be an annual affair," Ganguly had said.

BCB's Cricket Operations chairman Akram Khan yesterday told the media that the board has decided to leave the decision up to the players and the coach.

"We have left it upto the coach and the players since we haven't played any pink ball matches or practiced with them."
