BCB unveil U-19 Asia cup squad

The Bangladesh Cricket Board yesterday announced a 15-member Under-19 squad for the ACC U19 Asia Cup, to be held from September 5 to September 14.

Bangladesh were drafted in Group B, alongside hosts Sri Lanka, UAE and Nepal while Group A consists of India, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Kuwait.

The team are scheduled to leave for Colombo on September 3.

In their first match, Bangladesh will take on the UAE on September 6 before going on to face Nepal on September 8. The third and final group fixture will pit the young Tigers against Sri Lanka on September 10.

The semifinals are set to take place on September 12 while the final is slated for September 14.

Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain, Anik Sarker, Mahmudul Hasan, Tawhid Hridoy (vice- captain), Shamim Hossain, Shahadat Hossain, Akbar Ali (captain), Rakibul Hasan, Mirttunjoy Chowdhury, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan, Mohammad Shahin, Minhazur Rahman and Ashraful Islam.
