Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the squad for the upcoming tree-match T20 series in India today and Arafat Sunny and pacer Al-Amin were the surprise inclusions in the squad.

Sunny and Al-Amin last played a T20 match in March 2016 for the Tigers.

Bangladesh have dropped the likes of Sabbir Rahman, Taijul Islam, Rubel Hossain and Nazmul Hossain Shanto -- all four had been named in the squad during the tri-series at home involving Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.

Bangladesh retained leg-spinner Aminul Islam Biplob while Soumya Sarkar -- dropped from the T20 tri-series squad in September following the first two matches -- also returned to the squad.

Nayeem Sheikh has been retained while Sheikh Mahedi Hasan and Yasin Arafat Mishu were this time not included. Tamim Iqbal, who sat out the T20 tri-series at home following poor form in the World Cup and the subsequent ODI series in Sri Lanka, also returned to the side.

BCB chief selector Minhazul Abedin said that the team thinktank rung in the changes to include experience in the lineup while also keeping in mind the ongoing fitness issues of the fast bowlers.

"T20 is a format where we have to experiment. That's why there was so many changes. Since India is a tough series, we preferred some experienced players and that is why Arafat Sunny and Al-Amin were brought back into the lineup," Minhazul told The Daily Star.
