Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan informed today that the Tigers' Test and T20 captain Shakib Al Hasan -- currently in India playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) -- will be sent a letter notifying him about the BCB training camp slated to start on April 22.

The training camp will kick off Bangladesh's preparation for the World Cup and the upcoming tri-nation series in Ireland.

"Our camp is going to start. I have told them [team management] to send him a letter right away. Let's see how he responds," the BCB president said while talking to reporters in Mirpur.

Since returning from an injury he suffered during the final of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on February 9, Shakib has so far been involved in just one of Sunrisers Hyderabad's matches and struggled to get into the side. The all-rounder was recently joined by his mentor Mohammad Salahuddin in India to help him work on his game so that he can prepare himself individually for the World Cup.

"We have not discussed yet whether he will join the camp. Since the camp is going to start, its important send him a letter so that he can join," the BCB president concluded.
