Former Bangladesh cricketer and captain Aminul Islam talked about the 'collapse' of Bangladesh cricket in a post on his personal Facebook account. The post follows Bangladesh's disastrous tour of the New Zealand where the Tigers lost both the ODI and T20 series by 3-0 margins.

Aminul, who currently resides in Australia, pondered the issue of lack of transparency in local cricket.

"This was inevitable. Main reason is the lack of honesty. The way domestic cricket has been criminalized in the last few years, was just waiting for when the collapse was going to take place," Aminul wrote on Facebook.

He also talked about the categorical status division of the national team stars, stating that the five big stars became separate individual entities bigger than the whole team.

"A team within a team. The Big five versus the rest. From what can be ascertained from people's words, the rest of the players seem like second class citizens. Everyone is running after individual stars, leaving the team aside. Can't find the Bangladesh team," he wrote.
