Brothers win by five wickets against Shinepukur

Brothers Union beat Shinepukur Cricket Club by five wickets despite a fantastic ton from Shuvagata Hom at Savar.

Batting first Shinepukur put on 288 runs on the board for the loss of eight wickets thanks to a brilliant ton from skipper Shuvagata while Afif Hossain also contributed with 68 . The skipper struck a 98-ball 116 with 12 fours and four sixes. However, Brothers chased down the target with five wickets and five balls to spare following a 107-ball 88 from Myshukur Rahman.

Debrata Das played a blinding 60-ball 75 run knock with five fours and four sixes as Brothers coasted to victory.

In another game played at Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity beat Kalabagan Krira Chakra by 15 runs. Ashok Menaria struck a 98-ball 95 with seven fours and four sixes as Khelaghar reached 238 all out. In reply, Kalabagan were restricted to 223 for the loss of nine wickets, falling short by 15 runs.

At Fatullah, Prime Bank defeated Agrani Bank by 42 runs as Rubel Hossain and Delwar Hossain bagged three wickets each as Agrani were bowled out for 230 in their chase of 273.
