BD to play two more Tests per year under new FTP

International Cricket Council (ICC) has proposed Future Tour Programme (FTP) in which Bangladesh cricket team are set to play 35 Tests from 2019 to 2023.

ICC's Full Members have been working out the details of the FTP and representatives met in Singapore to sort out the details. ICC will go over the schedule in it's annual conference in June.

Bangladesh will play the most number of Test matches after the big three in international cricket. Under the new FTP schedule, England will play 46 Tests, Australia 40 Tests and India 37 Tests.

During this period, Pakistan and New Zealand will play 28 Tests while Sri Lanka and West Indies will play 29 each.

Bangladesh are set to play two more Tests per year under the new FTP. According to the current FTP, Bangladesh will play 33 Tests over five years, whereas in the new one they play 35 over four, ESPNCricinfo reported.
