BCL shifted to Jan 9

The sixth edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League, the country's second first class competition, will begin on January 9 in two separate legs.

Earlier, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) informed that the tournament will start on January 5 but after a meeting between BCB tournament commitee chairman Gazi Golam Mortuza, BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury and the selection panel, they decided to shift it to January 9.

The first two rounds will take place at the Sylhet International Stadium and BKSP while third round matches will be played at the Shahid Kamruzzaman stadium in Rajshahi and Sheikh Abu Naser stadium in Khulna. The BCL's  remaining are set to resume after the Dhaka Premier League concludes, which according to Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis Chairman Kazi Inam Ahmed, will hopefully start from January 20.
