Abahani win following Mashrafe heroics
Mashrafe Bin Mortaza's heroics with the bat and ball hands Abahani a 36-run victory over Kalabagan Krira Chakra in the Dhaka Premier League match in Savar.
Kalabagan sent Abahani to bat first after winning the toss and Abahani were struglling at 105 for six in the 30th over when Mashrafe came in to bat. Mashrafe stuck a blistering 54-ball 67 with three fours and five sixes. He was involved in a 98-run seventh wicket partnership with Mossaddek Hossain that eventually allowed Abahani to post 217 runs on the board.
Mashrafe then bagged four wickets as Abahani bowled Kalabagan for just 181 runs. Mashrafe was chosen as the player of the match.
In a thrilling encounter ar Fatullah, Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club beat Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan by one wicket. Chasing a target of 200, Prime Doleshwar reached the required runs in the last delivey of the 50th over.
Meanwhile Gazi Group Cricketers beat Shinepukur Cricket Club by 20 runs in the third match of the DPL today at Savar.
