Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Mehedi Hasan Miraz bagged three wickets each to bowl Mohammedan Sporting out for 147 runs and give Abahani a 112-run victory over their arch rivals at the Dhaka Premier League match today.

Mashrafe bowled a fiery spell at the top of the Mohammedan innings, removing both Jony Talukdar and Shamsur Rahman inside five overs. He then came back to remove Rony Talukdar in the 12th over and finished with figures of 37 for three from seven overs.

Irfan Sukkur top-scored with a 35-ball 40 with five fours and two sixes but the Mohammedan innings never really got going in their chase of the target of 260.

Earlier, Abahani rode on Anamul Haque and Nasir Hossain's half-tons to post 259 runs before they were bowled out by Mohammedan in the 50th over.

Captain Nasir Hossain struck a 73-ball 67, an innings that contained seven fours to propel Abahani towards a fighting total in their match against arch rivals Mohammedan Sporting Club. Nasir was eventually removed by Mohammad Azim, who bagged three wickets for – -- runs in 7 overs.

Abahani were off to a slow start  before they lost opener Saif Hassan in the seventh over but Anamul Haque, who scored 63 from 81 deliveries with four fours and two sixes, steadied the ship with a 70-run second wicket partnership with Nazmul Hossain Shanto. Both Nazmul and Anamul fell in quick succession in the 22nd and the 25th over respectively but Mohammed Mithun Ali kept the scoreboard ticking in the middle overs with a 45-ball 47 with two fours and three sixes.

A few lusty blows from Tigers' ODI skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, who struck a 17-ball 26 eventually saw Abahani reach 259 all-out.
