Amateur side on brink of Club World Cup

New Zealand amateurs Team Wellington are on the verge of qualifying for FIFA's Club World Cup after thrashing Fiji's Lautoka 6-0 in the first leg of their Oceania Champions League final on Sunday.

Substitute Jack-Henry Sinclair scored a second-half brace, with Ross Allen, Andy Bevin, Mario Barcia and Taylor Schrijvers also netting at Wellington's David Farrington Park.

The teams travel to Lautoka, Fiji for the second leg at Churchill Park next Sunday.

Mexican side Guadalajara, who beat Toronto for the CONCACAF champions league title last month, have qualified.

United Arab Emirates host the Dec. 12-22 Club World Cup.
