Pay tax timely or lose utility connections

Time has come to pay tax regularly to avoid facing punishment.

From the next fiscal year, the tax authority is going to introduce a provision of disconnecting utility services of taxpayers for their failure to pay undisputed revenue demand of the government.

In order to recover taxes, the National Board of Revenue seeks to include a provision in the income tax law that it would ask utility providing agencies to disconnect supply of gas, electricity and water supply within 21 days from the date of receipt of the notice of supply disconnection.
