Shwapno, Star to campaign for food safety

Shwapno, a leading retail chain, signed an agreement with The Daily Star for a campaign to build awareness regarding food safety among consumers.  
Executive Director of Shwapno Sabbir Hasan Nasir and Editor and Publisher of The Daily Star Mahfuz Anam inked the deal for the campaign “Thoughts for Food” on behalf of their organisations at the office of the newspaper in the capital.
According to the agreement, articles on flawed food processing system and tips to be aware of it will be published on the third page of the newspaper every alternate Friday from the third week of this month.
Sabbir said food adulteration made people feel helpless. “We have taken the initiative to make people aware of it,” he added.
The Daily Star editor appreciated Shwapno's initiative.
Head of Business Development, Export, Corporate and Company Goods of Shwapno Sohel Tanvir Khan, and General Manager of Business Development of The Daily Star Sher Ali were present, among others, at the signing ceremony.
