INSPIRATION

I am blessed with an indisputably favorable and warm cultural bloodline. Of course, my father is my first inspiration who bestrewed the seeds of humanity in me. He was an extremely motivational man. Additionally, my mother was a prominent singer of our country. Therefore, I grew up where everything was framed under the colossal grace of arts. My mother is also my inspiration. Even though I lost her when I was just eight years old, she has always been my inspiration. My brother is also my inspiration who taught me how to utilize the precious time of our lives. Unfortunately, I lost him too. After marriage, my husband who gave me a warm shelter has become my inspiration as well. Of course, my two beloved sons Ananya and Ananta always gives me the strength to live on; they are my lifetime inspirations.

PHILOSOPHY

One of my philosophies of life is to live in the present. I always try to be satisfied with what I have received in life from the Almighty. Life is momentous; in this uncertain journey, my motto is to not hurt anyone. If possible, I would love to help others; but cannot ever think of hurting someone. It gives me sanity and steers me toward the moral path. I always try to work with honesty, sincerity and dedication at my workplace.

VIEWS ON HER PROFESSION

In my view, every work can be framed as an art which needs to be learned in a proper manner. Learning is not a short-term process. Rather, it is all about dedication. To me, acting is more like a duty. I always try to give my highest effort and do justice to my job. The artists from young generation are really very talented and I appreciate their creativity. Therefore, I would love to convey my message to the young generation to take proper lessons, do research as much as they can and always be sincere, passionate and dedicated to what they do. We should take necessary initiatives to encourage the young generation of our country.

BOOKS

Shesher Kobita by Rabindranath Tagore is on the top of my favorite list. Golpo Guccho by Rabindranath Tagore and Pather Panchali by Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay are also my favorites. I love reading the books of Khaled Hosseini, specifically The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns. One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez, The Joke by Milan Kundera and the books of Haruki Murakami are some other books I adore.

FILMS

Pather Panchali and Nayak are two of my most favorite Bengali movies. Rain Man, One True Thing and Love Story are my favorites among non-Bengali films.

MUSIC

As my mother was an eminent singer of our country, music has always been my loyal companion. I feel proud to say that my mother was an accomplished Bangladeshi artist; her photo was even displayed in the Classical Festival. When it comes to my music preference, I love listening to all kinds of songs from classical to modern. Though I do not usually listen to hard rock, I do enjoy music of various genres.

FUTURE PLANS

Even though I have no specific future plan, I love working with the highest possible dedication at my workplace. Hence, I always try to maintain the quality of my work so that the audience can warmly accept what I do. Above all, I wish to have a peaceful life with my two sons and always pray for their welfare. I believe health is a major factor in living a happy life. Therefore, I pray to the Almighty to favor me and my sons with a healthy and peaceful life.

IDOLS

Unquestionably, my beloved parents are my idols. My father was an amazing person with little need and was always satisfied about everything he earned. He never showed his anger to anyone. I also admire how beautifully my mother balanced her career in music and her family. In the end, the person who has left a deep impression on me was none but my husband. He taught me how to be patient and fight against unfavorable situations in life. Hence, I have the spirit to live my life to the fullest.
