The High Court today cleared the way for Bangla film star Shakib Khan to act in three films from production house Shapla Media.

The court stayed a portion of a notice issued by Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti requesting all relevant film organsations not to cast Shakib Khan in any film.

Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti on July 28 issued the notice on the allegation that Shakib Khan has undermined film star Faruk and other leaders.

Shapla Media today filed a writ petition with the HC challenging the legality of the notice.

Shakib Khan signed three films -- Ami Neta Hobo, Mamla Hamla Jhamela and Kotha Diye Keo Kotha Rakhe Na -- with Shapla media.

After hearing the petition, the court issued a rule asking the authorities concerned of the government, Film Development Corporation (FDC) and other film organisations to explain in four weeks why their inaction in not facilitating for creating congenial atmosphere for Shakib Khan to work with Shapla Media should not be declared illegal.

In the rule, the court also asked the authorities to show causes why the notice should not be declared illegal.

The HC bench of Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice AKM Zahirul Hoque came up with the order and rules after holding hearing on the writ petition filed by Shapla Media.
