It has been based on the book, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli, and the movie Love, Simon, which was also inspired from the same book. The series follows the journey of a student at a new school, telling the story of his troubles at home to the struggle with his sexual orientation. It was released on June 17, 2020.
