Designated Survivor 60 Days

Designated Survivor: 60 Days is a South-Korean, political drama series, starring Ji Jin-hee, Heo Joon-ho and Kang Han-na, among others. It has been directed by Yoo Jong-sun and produced by DK E&M. It is based on the American television series, Designated Survivor, and revolves around the life of a minister. After an attack at the National Assembly building which kills several high-ranking politicians and officials, he is made the President, despite his hesitance, and the story hence follows. The series was aired on July 1, 2019, and currently has sixteen episodes. It is available in Korean, and can be viewed on Netflix.

 

The Lion King

The Lion King is a realistic animated musical, which is a remake of the eponymous film, released by Disney in 1994. The remake was written by Jeff Nathanson, and directed and produced by Jon Favreau, in association with Walt Disney Pictures. The characters in the film are voiced by Seth Rogen, Donald Glover and Chiwetel Ejiofor, among others. James Earl Jones is voicing Mufasa yet again. The storyline follows the life of a lion prince, Simba, who abandons his kingdom after the death of his father. It was released on July 19, 2019 in theatres. 

The Terror

The Terror is a horror anthology TV series, with a different set of cast for each season. The second season, The Terror: Infamy will feature Derek Mio, Kiki Sukezane and Cristina Rodlo, among others. It will be released on August 12, 2019. The first season, based on the novel of the same name, by Dan Simmons, followed the lives of the people on-board two warships, sent to find the Northwest Passage, who have to face the adversities that come their way while they get trapped there. The first season was developed by David Kajganich, while the second will be developed by Alexander Woo and Max Borenstein. It has been released under the banner of AMC.

Super 30

Super 30 is an Indian biographical film, starring Hrithik Roshan, Mrunal Thakur and Virendra Saxena, among others. It has been directed by Vikas Bahl, and produced by Phantom Films, alongside other production companies. The film revolves around Anand Kumar, a mathematician, and follows his journey as he coaches thirty intelligent students to get into the Indian Institute of Technology Patna as they are unable to finance their studies on their own. The film was originally released on July 12, 2019. 

Barry

Barry is a melodramatic TV series, with its second season released on March 31, 2019. The show stars Bill Hader, Sarah Goldberg and Stephen Root, among others. It was created by Bill Hader himself and Alec Berg, and can be watched on HBO. The story follows Barry Berkman, a depressed hitman, who moves from Midwest to Los Angeles, and finds solace in the city’s theatre scene. It has been renewed for a third season.
