Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is an American action, drama and science fiction television series, directed by Vincent Misiano, Magnus Martens, Clark Gregg and Kevin Hooks for American Broadcasting Company. The series stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen and Brett Dalton among others.  It has been produced by Garry A. Brown and Chris Cheramie, and has been distributed by Walt Disney Television. The series revolves around an organisation set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who are in charge of keeping track of unusual phenomena around the globe, and taking measures to control them. The series currently has 5 seasons with 110 episodes, and has been renewed for a new season.

 

The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind is a British drama film, starring Maxwell Simba, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Lily Banda, and has been based on the eponymous book by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer. The film has been directed by Chiwetel Ejiofor, with Andrea Calderwood and Gail Egan as the producers. The film revolves around the life of a young, teenage boy from a poor village, who is forced to leave school due to his family’s financial crisis, and how he saves his village from starvation. The film was first premiered in 2019 at the Sundance Film Festival, and is now available on Netflix in English and Chichewa.

 

 

 

Lucifer

Lucifer is a comedy-drama TV series, created by Sam Kieth, Mike Dringenberg and Neil Gaiman. The series is based on the eponymous character of DC Comics. The plot revolves around the life of the Devil, Lucifer Morningstar, who escapes hell and opens a nightclub in Los Angeles, along with becoming a close associate of the LAPD. The cast includes Tom Ellis, Lauren German and Kevin Alejandro, among others. The fourth season was released on May 11, 2019, in association with Netflix, after being cancelled by Fox.

Pokémon Detective Pikachu

Pokémon Detective Pikachu is a fantasy film, based on the Pokémon series and the video game of the same name. It was directed by Rob Letterman, and stars actors, Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton, among others. The storyline follows Tim, a former Pokémon trainer, and his talking Pokémon, Pikachu, who search for Tim’s missing father together. The film was released on May 3, 2019.

Homecoming

Homecoming is an American film which revolves around the renowned singer, Beyoncé. The film focuses on her concert that took place last year in Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The film has been written and directed by Beyoncé herself, with Dora Melissa Vargas as the producer. The film starring Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Solange and the American girl group, Destiny’s Child has been released on Netflix, under the banner of Parkwood Entertainment. The film was originally released on April 17, 2019.
