4 films set for release this Eid

Four new films are going to be released this Eid-ul-Fitr as film lovers across the country eagerly look forward to watch them for entertainment.

Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan will hit the screens with three of the films this time, while Tollywood star Jeet will appear in one.

Shakib will be seen pairing up with his wife Apu Biswas, a popular Dhallywood actress, in ‘Rajneeti’, a Bangladeshi big-budget film.

Rajneeti, the first directorial venture of Bulbul Biswas, has created much anticipation being Apu’s comeback film after her brief hiatus due to maternity and other personal crises.

“I believe that those who like me will all watch the film ‘Rajneeti’. They have much expectation from the film. Also, Shakib Khan-Apu Biswas pair means something different,” Apu told The Daily Star Online.

Director Bulbul Biswas also hopes that audience would like the film.  

Shakib Khan will also be seen pairing with Tollywood actress Subhashree Ganguly in a Bangladesh-India joint venture film ‘Nabab’, which has already created a stir among the audience with the recently released teaser.

“Audience will find me in a new avatar in ‘Nabab’ as I will appear in a completely different role in the film. I won’t say anything more about the role as it should be watched on the screen. The film’s songs have already become popular among the audience. The film also features Bangladesh,” Shakib told The Daily Star Online.

Shakib’s third film this Eid will be ‘Rangbaz’ in which he has paired up with newcomer Bubli. The film is a directorial venture of Abdul Mannan.

“I have worked really hard for ‘Rangbaz’ and gave in my best effort,” Shakib said, adding that he hopes the film will garner appreciation from the audience this Eid.

Meanwhile, Tollywood actor Jeet will be seen pairing up with Bangladeshi actress Nusrat Faria once again in yet another Bangladesh-India joint venture film ‘Boss 2’. The film has already created much hype among the audience following the release of one of its songs titled ‘Allah Meherban’ which later got re-released as ‘Yaara Meherban’ having faced widespread criticism.

It is time to see whether the trend of going to movie theatres to watch films, which began after the likes of ‘Aynabazi’ and ‘Shikari’ got released last year, will continue this time, with much anticipation for reclaiming the former glory of Bangla films.
