Bird Box breaks viewing records for 'Netflix'

The thriller Bird Box broke the Netflix viewing record within 7 days. While the film has received positive reviews, there have been critics who did not fail to point out the similarities between Bird Box and The Quiet Place, a film by John Krasinski which plays with characters' hearing. The film starring Sandra Bullock shows mysterious forces which seemingly attack when eye contact is made. Netflix itself tweeted about the film upon its success saying, "Took off my blindfold this morning to discover that 45,037,125 Netflix accounts have already watched Bird Box – best first 7 days ever for a Netflix film". The film has been directed by Susanne Bier. It also features Trevante Rhodes, Sarah Paulson and John Malkovich.
