Bad Moms

Directors: Jon Lucas, Scott Moore

Writers: Jon Lucas, Scott Moore

Stars: Mila Kunis, Kathryn Hahn, Kristen Bell

Strength: Cast, Comedy

Weakness: Story

Runtime: 100min

Rating: 3/5

PLOT: Three overworked and underappreciated mothers let go of their conventional responsibilities to enjoy freedom and self-indulgence after having pushed beyond their limits.

REVIEW: The story starts off with Amy, played by Mila Kunis, going through her regular chaotic responsibilities of attending to the kids and her job while taking care of her inutile husband.

The comedy kicks in right from the very start of the downfall of Amy's relationship with her husband, played wilfully by David Walton. The trio chosen for the film was absolutely appropriate given the dynamic roles that the characters had. The likes of Kathryn Hahn, who played Carla and Kristen Bell, playing Kiki, provided for the film tremendously, maintaining their reputations as excellent actresses. The energy among the three actresses was amazing to say the least, bringing out different personalities to the screen. The movie's strength was indubitably its humour. However, the story lacked proper logic in some regard and was overall quite predicable. The direction had nothing special to offer either.

On the whole, the movie portrays a realistic scenario of the lives of some mothers with hilariously raunchy comedy. It provides for a great watch and is a good choice for a repeat.
