'Debi' has changed multiple things in my life - Sabnam Faria

Sabnam Faria won the hearts of audiences with her very first drama. She never had to look back from then. Drama after drama, she has proven her excellence in acting as well as abundance of charisma. She has her name in the list of extremely talented actresses. In the film, 'Debi', directed by Anam Biswas, her character, 'Nilu', has managed to fascinate cinema lovers. During a candid interview with Star Showbiz, Zahid Akbar had the opportunity to talk to her:

Star Showbiz: You have been featured for acting in Star Showbiz magazine as the actress for 2018. How does it feel?

Sabnam Faria: Any recognition is appreciated. It becomes the inspiration for my work and gives me the courage to carry on. This is my first ever form of recognition. It is, indeed, something to be very proud of and happy about.

Star Showbiz: Can you tell us something about the TV dramas that you have been a part of in 2018?

Sabnam Faria: Jiboner Din Ratree, Bhalobasha Tarpor, Neel Rangdhanu, Uganda Masud, Anubhabe, Choto Chele, Prosthan, Rupkathar Bhetor Bahir: people seemed to enjoy these dramas very much. The most appreciation and love I have got, is for the film Debi.

Star Showbiz: What have you gained from the film 'Debi'?

Sabnam Faria: Debi has changed multiple things in my life. I have received the love of numerous people. I have also received many job offers, but I am being quite picky after the film's release. Now there is this duty and accountability. But I am immensely happy.

Star Showbiz: How was the year?

Sabnam Faria: Many changes have happened this year in my life. The year started right after my father passed away. I was very upset during that time. Then I gradually realized that this is how life is. But good news lies ahead. This year was one of many changes for me. I have acted in a film like Debi. I have not acted in a drama for five to six months. But this does not cause any frustration in my mind.

Star Showbiz: Were you hopeful for 'Debi' from the start?

Sabnam Faria: I believed that people would watch the film. I knew that it would be critically acclaimed, but I never thought that this would be such a hit.

Star Showbiz: Which were the turning points of your acting career?

Sabnam Faria: The film All Time Dourer Upor, directed by Adnan Al Rajeev was released on Valentine's Day of 2013. This drama was well featured that year. Then Redwan Rony's Shubornopur was not too far away. Dui Ongsher Shesh Ekta by Taneem Rahman Angshu was similarly featured. All of them were my turning points.

Star Showbiz: What are your plans for the next year?

Sabnam Faria: I want to focus on my work more next year. There will be a big change in my personal life. I have to adjust with that and move ahead. I also want to do good projects.
