Peter Jackson's “Mortal Engines”to release in December 2018

Filmmaker Peter Jackson is geared up for his next big project titled "Mortal Engines", which is scheduled for release in 2018. Based on the award-winning science fiction book series by Philip Reeve, the film is set in a dystopian future where Earth's cities travel the globe on giant wheels, fighting each other for diminishing resources. "The Lord of The Rings" director also co-wrote the screenplay with Fran Walsh, who also co-directed the same film. 

Peter Jackson is renowned for his films of epic proportions such as "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings". He last directed "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" in 2014 and his upcoming film includes "The Adventures of Tintin: Prisoners of the Sun", which is yet to receive its release date.
