A new Prince Harry

Since he first came into the spotlight, Harry Styles has, without a doubt, been the embodiment of a Disney Prince. Now that Disney's The Little Mermaid live action film has begun pre-production, what has merely been a pipedream for so long may soon become reality. Growing speculations suggest that Harry Styles is the foremost contender to play Prince Eric, alongside the beautiful, up-and-comer Halle Bailey as our heroine. No contracts have been signed and no press releases have yet been leaked, but we believe that it's only a matter of time. Sources report that during a recent screen test, Styles and Bailey had undeniable chemistry. According to Hollywood Reporter, the former One Direction member is "very interested" in this role, and he has none other than the original Prince Eric in his camp. Christopher Daniel Barnes, who played Eric in the 1989 animated film, said, "I think it's great, the guy's a rock star, actor, philanthropist, heartthrob. That's a pretty good start for a prince, right?" The Little Mermaid is expected to begin shooting in 2020.
