George Clooney’s first-look deal with ‘MGM’

The Academy Award winning heartthrob has recently inked a new feature film production deal with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. According to the agreement, George Clooney and Grant Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures, will produce a film on the 80's automotive executive and founder of DeLorean Motor Company, John DeLorean, in collaboration with MGM. Clooney is set to direct the film, though it is not yet confirmed if he will act in the movie as well. Keith Bunin is expected to write the yet untitled film, based on a magazine article titled, "Saint John" by journalist Alex Pappademas. Clooney and Smokehouse Pictures's Heslov, in a joint statement, said, "We're thrilled to be working with Jon and all the folks over at MGM and look forward to a long successful partnership."
