Kirsten Dunst Will Make her Directorial Debut

Kirsten Dunst will be making her debut as a director in a new movie adaptation of "The Bell Jar". The "Spider-Man" actress will make directorial debut in a feature film with the remake of Sylvia Plath's semi-autobiography set in the 1950s. She has casted Dakota Fanning in the film to play the role of Esther Greenwood. Fanning will also act as the producer in the film.

The movie is about a young lady who struggles with mental illness, originally turned into a film in 1979 by director Larry Peerce, with Marilyn Hassett playing the lead character of Esther Greenwood.

Dunst recently earned an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie" for crime drama series "Fargo", in which she played the role of Peggy Blumquist.
