Born to Shomu Mukherjee and Tanuja Samarth on 5th August 1974, Kajol is one of the most endearing personalities in Bollywood. She effectively shattered the stigma that dark-skinned actors couldn't make it to the top. Not only was she one of the top stars of her time, she became the face of Bollywood with Baazigar and went on to star in one of the highest grossing films ever made in India, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Even though she still stars in films, her appearances are few and far between. She is said to appear in Velaiilla Pattadhari 2, an upcoming Tamil film expected to release later in 2017.
