Channel i's 19th Birthday

Bangladesh's first digital television channel, Channel i, had its 19th birthday at 1st October. This has set a benchmark in the history of Bangladeshi television industry, and the occasion has been celebrated by many TV superstars, political personalities and fans across the nation. The Managing Director of Channel i, Faridur Reza Sagar, expressed his thanks to everyone who has supported Channel I since its inception. He said, "I feel proud of the fact that we are starting our 19th year. Channel i has earned the trust and faith of the people, and that is why the joy of this birthday belongs to all the Bengalis all over the world." He further said, "We feel that this channel has been a bridge between people of all classes and professions. We have also reached out to more people thanks to social media." The event was celebrated with the cutting of a cake at 12:01 am, along with musical performances by Ayub Bachchu, Ferdous Ara, Ferdous Wahid, Kiron Chandra Ray, Shofi Mondol and many others.
