"Wind of Change" Returns

James

After the success of the inaugural "Wind of Change", the brainchild behind the project Kaushik Hossain Taposh has reinstated the one-of-a-kind series, which was broadcast during Eid-Ul-Azha. With the immense popularity and acclamation it garnered in its first season, the second season promised to bring all the awe-inspiring goodness from its inception. In addition, it brought to the table performances by new artists that transcended that of the previous instalment. The likes of Habib, Taposh and Chirkutt from the first season performed in this second one, along with foreign musicians such as Anna Rakita, Mohini Dey, and others. This season saw the introduction of Nagarbaul James on stage, whose classic rock tracks are loved by millions. The internationally famed star performed "Mira Baai" alongside Taposh, Mohini Dey, Nelli Bubujanca, Andrew Krasilnikov, Anna Rakita and many others. This rendition of James' classic is a fusion that is undeniably incredible, with enticing saxophone lines from Andrew Krasilnikov and throbbing bass solos from Mohini Dey escalating everyone's pulse. There were many other hair-raising performances form old and new artists. One such performance was given by Ferdous Wahid, who performed "Ei Je Duniya" along with Taposh and many other musicians. This version of the epic song was very dynamic, incorporating many musical styles such as Jazz and Qawwali, turning it into a mesmerizing performance worth remembering.

The second season of Wind of Change irrefutably exceeds the previous benchmark set by the first season for musical performance and production value, outdoing itself. Exceeding this standard will be hard to execute but if there is any chance for a third season, Wind of Change may very well set another milestone for others to follow.
