Shabnur Takes a Shot at Singing in her New Film

Shabnur is no longer going to be a name known just for acting, for she is about to venture into a new world: singing. In the upcoming movie Eto Prem Eto Maya, Shabnur has been chosen to be the voice behind the melancholic version of the title song Shironaam. "I love songs and I sometimes sing by myself," said Shabnur, "but singing in a film is a different matter altogether.

The director has offered me this wonderful opportunity and even though I am not completely ready yet, I am willing to give it a thought." Shabnur is appearing in this film alongside other Bangladeshi film personalities such as Ferdous Ahmed, Symon Sadik and Peya Bipasha.

The director Mustafizur Rahman Manik stated that even though Shabnur isn't a professional singer, she can sing well. "Her character in the film is a singer, so I thought the fans should hear Shabnur singing as well," he said. The song was compose by Kolkata's Shree Pritam and the lyrics were written by Sudip Kumar Deep.
