Oggatonama Wins Best Film Award in Asia-Pacific Film Festival

Held at Cambodia this year, the 57th iteration of the Asia-Pacific Film Festival featured 54 films from 20 countries, and had 17 divisions in which the films competed in. Alongside nominations in Best Script and Best Co-Actor, Oggatonama has won the Best Film award, after just one year since its release! Directed and written by Tauquir Ahmed, this film has been praised as an exemplary piece of work by critics both local and abroad. "People are watching the film, and different festivals are giving it credit. As a filmmaker this is, without a doubt, a matter of happiness for me. I believe that we need to work harder. We need to create works that will last a long time," said Tauquir Ahmed. This year's Asia-Pacific Film Festival has featured a total of five films from Bangladesh. The award was accepted by the Managing Director of Impress Telefilm Ltd and Channel-I, Faridur Reza Sagar.
