Jaya Ahsan as Jibananda's Labonno

Bangladesh's celebrated actress and model Jaya Ahsan has signed up for another Indian Bangla film named Jhora Palok. With all her enthusiasm, this renowned actress is ready to portray Labonno, the wife of the eminent poet Jibananda Das. The film is directed by Sayantan Mukharjee, who, inspired from the life of the poet, has casted Bratya Basu and Rahul to portray the poet in his different ages. When talking about Jibananda Das, his poetic creation Banalota Sen naturally comes up. Jaya herself has mentioned that Labonno resembles Banalota in many ways. Moreover, she believes that Labonno has a played a huge part in making Jibananda as charismatic as he is today. Recently, Jaya Ahsan has bagged the Best Actor Award at the Caleidoscope Indian Film Festival for her acting in Bishorjon.
