4th Band Fest held at Channel i Premises

The 4th installment of Band Fest took place at the premises of Channel i at Tejgaon on Friday. The programme was inaugurated by Shykh Seraj, Head of News and Director of Channel i. Sujeyo Shyam, Syed Hasan Imam, Dr Arup Ratan Choudhury, Fakir Alamgir and Ayub Bachchu shared the stage alongside the Director. The key attraction of the festival was the presence of the Liberation War poets and lyricists of the contemporary Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, who presented the stirring patriotic track Bijoy Nishan Urche Oi. In remembrance of the recently deceased Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation, everyone observed a one-minute silence after the inauguration. After that, LRB took the stage and performed a part of Ami Jare Chaire by the "Pop Guru" Azam Khan. Elita Karim performed Bangladesh by George Harrison right before the inauguration. The main programme started with performances by singer Mehereen Mahmud. Before the end, LRB took the stage once again and called it a day by performing some of their popular songs. 16 prominent local bands including Joler Gaan, Durbin, Different Touch, Teerondaz, Obscure, Spondon, Tarun, Metrical, Stone, Setar, Sargam, Rong, Anari Sustain and Hoichoi took part in the festival.
