People based on smartphone security

Of all the things people judge you for, your lock screen security is probably the one for which you have been judged the least. Till now.

The world has been generously creative when it comes to designing new forms of mobile phone security locks. Started from the bottom with NOKIA 1216 which required you to press "*" to unlock your phone to unlocking your phone with your face on your brand new iPhone X. Two very simple technologies designed for over a generation.

Here is a comprehensive judgment about you depending on what type of mobile phone security you opted for in 2018.

PIN CODERS

If you are using a pin code as your phone security, you are probably good at remembering things and also feel strongly about your privacy but not enough to come up with a super creative zigzag pattern. The pin code users have a class division among themselves though, much like the society we live in today.

3rd class pin users put the last digits of their phone number as their pin code. This particular group thinks that they are very smart because who could ever guess that your pin code is the last 4 digits of the number you use to literally communicate with anyone and everyone.

2nd class pin users set their birth year or birth date and month as their pin codes. These people are probably very lonely because they assume no one ever remembers their birthday.

1st class pin code users literally go all out and cook up a random number as their pin code. You guys are the real MasterChef pin coders.

PATTERN LOVERS

Most of us aren't very creative but we do love to try when it comes to our lock screen pattern. Starting from basic patterns like using the first letter of your name, which is very common if you are not a millennial, or old; to waking up the pattern artist within you and coming up with super complicated yet aesthetic patterns. The latter are very conscious about their privacy but at the same time love making a statement. They love unlocking their phones in public and feeling a sense of superior intellect when they see other people can't unlock their phones even after seeing the pattern ten times. That tiny moment of joy when someone says, "How did you come up with such a complicated pattern?" is the kind of validation we all want but don't deserve.

FINGERPRINT SMASHERS

The introduction of fingerprint as a smartphone lock was revolutionary. It paved the way for smarter smartphone privacy which left most of the world's validation seeking population in awe.

Being able to unlock your phone with your finger sounds quite simple. Fingerprint users value their connection with their phone. That's probably because it's the only form of physical contact that they get throughout the day. This technology establishes a form of physical connection between the phone and the user. Now your phone recognises you, even if you literally do nothing meaningful in life, atleast your smartphone will always remember you by your touch.

FACE UNLOCK NATION

Unlocking your phone with your face is like the new standard for being a part of the elite phone users' society. It's not technology, it's a fashion statement. A horrible one though. Taking off your sunglasses or hats every time you want to unlock your phone is something that's hard to get used to. Also, what's the point of having a smartphone security that your identical twin can access? I'll tell you the answer, absolutely none.

SLIDE LOYALISTS

Last but not the least, the slide unlock. The classic smartphone security option. If you are using this, you probably don't have any friends who would force you to feel the need to hide interesting and juicy potential gossips about yourself. You are happy and content with life. Or you are so fed up with life that you couldn't care less about what's in your phone because you believe your life should not be centred around a small rectangle that helps you "connect" with people.

However, no matter what new mobile phone security we see in the future, nothing can beat the "Press *". Feeling judged yet?
